Training Session 3

Our 16 students are now in week nine of their 13-week training program. It's hard to believe that amount of time has already passed! Students will soon be transitioning into the internship phase of their program while EGTI staff begin to fade their support as students show mastery of the job requirements.

Student Update

Zach is a 2016 EGTI grad who has reached his three-year work anniversary! We were so EXCITED to hear about this accomplishment! You know it, we know it, and Zach knows it. Finding a job is important, but so is keeping a job. He is such a great example, and we are so proud of him for reaching this big milestone! Congratulations, Zach!

4-Year Work Anniversary

This month, we celebrate four years with three of our instructional team members: Sarah Lambert, Grace Clark, and Daniel Gurulé. They joined the EGTI team four months before we opened our doors in January of 2016 and have been instrumental in building EGTI's programming. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FOR EGTI!

Donate and Earn a Tax Credit

The Arc of Indiana Foundation has been awarded Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits through the Indiana Housing and Community Development authority. Individuals and businesses who donate to the foundation are eligible for a tax credit on their Indiana state income tax return for 50% of the amount of the donation. For example, a donation of $500 to the foundation will result in a $250 credit to your Indiana tax liability. *Donations benefit Erskine Green Training Institute. Some important things to note: A donation has to be at least $100. This is a tax credit not a deduction. A tax credit directly reduces the amount of tax you owe, giving you a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability, where a tax deduction reduces how much of your income is subject to taxes. The credit must be taken on the tax return for the year the donation is made. If you are interested in making a donation through this program or have any questions, please contact Jill Vaught at jvaught@arcind.org.
