After 13 weeks, we said farewell to these students on Friday, October 4. Blair Milo, State of Indiana Secretary for Career Connections and Talent, shared encouraging words to both graduates and their families during the graduation ceremony. Her insight on Indiana's current workforce was much appreciated on this evening as graduates focus on securing employment.
During each graduation ceremony, a video is shared showcasing the overall student experience. Looking back and reminiscing on each student's journey is always a highlight of the ceremony.
We welcomed ten new students, from eight different Indiana counties, on Sunday, October 13. They will be spread across four different training programs for the next ten weeks: Environmental Services (healthcare), Supply Chain: Inventory Distribution (healthcare), Host/Server Assistant (restaurant), and Dishwasher/Server Assistant (restaurant).
Be sure to follow EGTI on social media to watch their journey!
As we’re gearing up for another #GivingTuesday, mark your calendars and join us in spreading the word. Giving Tuesday is a global movement which aims to bring people and organizations together to give back.
We have passed the application deadline for Training Session 1 of 2020; however, we can accept late applications if there are slots available.
The four training programs being offered include:
Kitchen Cook (restaurant)
Front Desk Agent (hotel)
Heart of the House (hotel)
Patient Transport (healthcare)
*UPDATE: the Kitchen Cook training program has reached its capacity.
Aaron is a 2016 EGTI graduate and our second graduate to reach his three-year work anniversary!
Aaron has been working at Parkview Health for those three years and is a a great example of what dedication looks like.
Keep it up, Aaron!
This October Kitchen Cook graduate has already secured and started employment at the Bistro within the Courtyard Muncie!
EGTI has never had a graduate hired to work in the Bistro, so staff are excited to get to see him regularly each morning.
Good job, Alex!
