Session 3 Under Way

Twelve new students stepped into the Courtyard Muncie at Horizon Convention Center to begin their move-in on Sunday, July 10 and started on the road to learning a new vocation, making friendships and furthering their independence. From an ice-breaker pizza party that night to an exciting first day of class on Monday, July 11, students enthusiastically embraced all that this new educational experience has to offer. One of the first orders of business was to introduce students to the Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS). They’ll have recurrent training throughout the run of the session in using public transportation and many other soft skills, but their focus will be on learning the job skills required to be successfully employed after graduation. 2017 Class Schedule Now Available!

The 2017 class schedule, tuition and fees, and calendar of events information has just been added to the EGTI website. Included for 2017 are all of the current program selections and a 13-week training program for Servers has been added to the list of options. The Server job description video will be available soon! If you’ve been considering EGTI for postsecondary vocational training, now is the time to get started.  Read more

Few Spots Remain for September Classes

With classes starting by mid-September, the time is now to submit applications. Our capacity is 20 students per session, so space is extremely limited. At EGTI, we strive to provide high-quality, affordable postsecondary vocational training for people with disabilities. Many students receive funding through scholarships, Vocational Rehabilitation and other forms of assistance. Read more

Register Now for August General Tour

Aug. 29, 9–11 a.m. Prospective students and guardians, educators, counselors, case managers and other service providers are offered opportunities throughout the year to attend a scheduled facility and EGTI tour. The visit takes approximately two hours and includes a walking tour of the hotel, restaurant and training institute as well as some basic information about the curriculum. Guests may have the opportunity to meet instructors and other support staff to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the overall program. Read more
