Donate and Earn a Tax Credit

Posted September 3, 2019

The Arc of Indiana Foundation has been awarded Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits through the Indiana Housing and Community Development authority. Individuals and businesses who donate to the foundation are eligible for a tax credit on their Indiana state income tax return for 50% of the amount of the donation. For example, a donation of $500 to the foundation will result in a $250 credit to your Indiana tax liability.

*Donations benefit Erskine Green Training Institute.

Some important things to note:
A donation has to be at least $100.
This is a tax credit not a deduction. A tax credit directly reduces the amount of tax you owe, giving you a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability, where a tax deduction reduces how much of your income is subject to taxes.
The credit must be taken on the tax return for the year the donation is made.

If you are interested in making a donation through this program or have any questions, please contact Jill Vaught at jvaught@arcind.org.
