It’s hard to believe that students in our 10-week training programs, Heart of the House and Inventory Distribution, have only two weeks left! Students in our 13-week training programs, Kitchen Cook and Front Desk Agent, still have five weeks remaining. Students have been working hard to master the job skills necessary to reach independence.
Kitchen Cook students completed the ServSafe training material and assessment, and they all passed! This is a huge accomplishment, and we could not be more proud of their hard work. They also made a trip down the street to observe Ivy Tech’s culinary students at work. During their visit, they were able to talk with Chef Heather about the role of a kitchen cook. Chef Heather will be coming to EGTI to judge a knife-cutting contest soon!
Front Desk Agent and Heart of the House students completed training material through the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute. Assessments were also taken, and we are anxiously waiting on the results!
