MHS Partnering with The Arc of Indiana Foundation to Support EGTI Students

Posted April 4, 2018

Managed Health Services (MHS) is partnering with The Arc of Indiana Foundation to support mentoring programs and opportunities for people with disabilities through EGTI.

“This five-year commitment and partnership will help support fitness and community mentoring opportunities as well as tutoring services to people with disabilities who are students at the training institute,” said MHS CEO Kevin O’Toole. “Students will learn how physical fitness and healthy living choices can be incorporated into everyday life as well as social and academic skills to help them not only gain, but to maintain employment.”

Every EGTI student has the opportunity to participate in the mentoring program, where they are matched with a student from Ball State University. Ball State students are responsible for

providing social guidance and helping students gain critical soft skills like appropriate work place etiquette. Together, the partnership with MHS and The Arc will provide training that will result in successful employment opportunities and healthier living for people with disabilities.
